FILIATION AND GENETIC IDENTIFICATION

STANDARDIZED PANELS OF 64 AND 128 SNPs

The Molecular Genetics Veterinary Service (SVGM) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona has the latest technologies to systematize the identification and filiation of multiple species, from the reception and processing of biological samples (blood, hair or other biological tissues) to genotyping by single nucleotide polymorphisms with the QuantStudioTM 12K Flex equipment.

Standardized panels of 64 and/or 128 SNP genetic markers have been developed following the recommendations of the ICAR (International Committe for Animal Recording) and ISAG (International Society for Animal Genetics) for the different livestock and domestic animal species.
